A former vampire hunter has been laid to rest.
We have sad news to pass along today as we have found out that actor John Lasell has passed away at the age of 95. The news was confirmed by an obituary notice, which listed the death date as Oct. 4, according to a report on Deadline.
Lasell, who was born on 6 November 1928 in Worcester, Massachusetts, is best known for playing the role of vampire hunter Dr. Peter Guthrie in the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. The actor appeared in 25 episodes of the acclaimed series which ran from 1966-1971.
In addition to Dark Shadows, Lasell also appeared in The Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, Mission Impossible, Lassie, The F.B.I., The Fugitive, The Doctors and the Nurses, The Tall Man, Falcon Crest, A Death in California, and more.
