Blumhouse dropped a Twitter bomb today with the reveal/Tweet that Jamie Lee Curtis would be returning to reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode in Halloween. While this is not the first time Curtis has revisited her role as Laurie Strode, as shes appeared in the fan favorite Halloween: H20 back in 1998, it is nevertheless amazing to see her in the same clothes, on the same porch, and in the same bad situation she was in nearly 40 years ago.
Halloween creator and legendary director John Carpenter will also be involved in the project as executive producer and creative consultant alongside Jason Blum. David Gordon Green will be directing the highly anticipated film, which is being describe as Laurie Strode’s final confrontation with Michael Myers.
Mark your calendars now as Halloween is set to be released by Universal Pictures on October 19, 2018.
