“Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”

Criminals in Detroit should know that their days are numbered as Robocop is getting closer. Peter Ocko (Lodge 49) has been tapped as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the potential series, based on the MGM movie franchise, with horror master James Wan on board to executive produce through his Atomic Monster banner, according to a report on Deadline.

While the exact plot details have yet to be released, it’s safe to assume that the plot will once again center around a police officer who’s part man, part machine.

It’s no surprise that when Amazon completed its acquisition of MGM Studios in 2022, Robocop was one of the first projects that was fast tracked. The franchise, which is a merchandising gold mine, has seen numerous movies and remakes, cartoons, video games, action figures, collectibles and more.
