We have extremely sad news to pass along today as we have learned that James Ransone passed away at the age of 46. According to a report on Deadline, the actor was found dead in an apparent suicide. James can be seen in many horror films, but he is perhaps best known for his role in It: Chapter Two and The Black Phone series.
He appeared in many genre roles including Prom Night (2008), Sinister, Sinister 2, Family Blood, Captive State, Deadwax V/H/S/85, and 50 States of Fright.
He had a big career outside of the horror realm as well. Ransone would appear in The Wire, How to Make it in America, Treme, Bosch, Mosaic, SEAL Team,
His wife Jamie McPhee took to Instagram to write, “I told you I have loved you 1000 times before and I know I will love you again. You told me – I need to be more like you and you need to be more like me – and you were so right. Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts – you, Jack and Violet. We are forever.”
