“I can see your dirty pillows. Everyone will.”
Heather Graham, set to headline Mike Flanagan’s forthcoming Amazon MGM Studios adaptation of Stephen King’s 1974 novel Carrie, has offered new insight into the character she portrays in the eight episode series.
“If you remember the original movie, Carrie’s got two main antagonists,” she said during a MegaCon Orlando appearance, as reported by Collider. “She has her mother, and she has the girl at school who’s bullying her. I played the mom of the girl at school who’s bullying her.
Graham would also go on to say that “Hopefully they’re looking to do maybe a second season too.”
The official synopsis of the upcoming series reads “A bold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public High School, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.”
The cast of the series includes Summer H. Howell, Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Amber Midthunder, Joel Oulette, Alison Thornton, Arthur Conti, and Josie Totah.
