After Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday, Fred Armisen confirmed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that a spin-off centered on his eccentric take on Uncle Fester remains in development.
A video of his appearance on the program, which can be seen below, was shared on the official Tonight Show YouTube page.
Armisen would go on to say “Yeah, we’re working on it. It’s fantastic… It’s amazing.”
The 15-time Emmy nominee previously told Deadline that he feels “no pressure” to deliver laughs on Wednesday, despite the show’s heavier horror tone, but declined to share details about his spin-off.
“It’s so fun to do. It feels very organic,” said Armisen. “That’s all I can really say about it as far as the anticipation of it all. I love getting to do it and to embody this character who’s existed for a long time. That’s the fun of it.”
