Damien Leone: ‘Terrifier 3’ May Not End The Franchise

The terrifying river of blood is likely to overflow.

Horror fans are anxiously awaiting the Halloween 2024 debut of Terrifier 3, and–according to director Damien Leone–this third bloodbath may just be the springboard into future terrors.

The filmmaker recently discussed the next film in depth with Deadline, and confirmed that several key cast members are returning–including David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown and Lauren LaVera as Sienna–alongside Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria and Elliot Fullam as Jonathan. In addition, pro wrestling legend Chris Jericho will appear in the new feature.

Leone also talked about the upcoming production and shooting schedule, and hinted that Terrifier 3 may not end the franchise.

“We’re in pre-production right now,” Leone said. “We’re going to start shooting in two months–beginning in February. We’re in the thick of it. We’re assembling our crew and we’re still casting. We’re getting locations in order. Special effects are being created, and we’re still working on drafts.”

When asked about the possibility of continuing the series, Leone said the franchise “doesn’t have to end. Once we open the door of the supernatural, anything is possible in this franchise. I don’t think you could ever officially put the nail in the coffin.”

If the franchise does end, however, the director said he “now has a satisfying conclusion for myself as an artist and as the creator.”

Terrifier 3–set for the big screen Oct. 25, 2024– will “unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.”
