The truth is still out there.
Hulu and Ryan Coogler’s reimagining of The X-Files continues to expand its cast, with eight actors officially joining the project in guest-starring roles. The new cast includes recent Weapons Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner Amy Madigan alongside Steve Buscemi, Ben Foster, Devery Jacobs, Lochlyn Munro, Tantoo Cardinal, Joel D. Montgrand, and Sofia Grace Clifton, according to a report on Deadline.
They’ll join previously announced cast leads of Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler.
The logline of the series reads “Two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.”
Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Sinners) is writing and directing the pilot, with Jennifer Yale (The Copenhagen Test) serving as showrunner.
The pilot of the series is set to begin filming this month in Vancouver, British Columbia. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more on The X-Files.
