Charli xcx will be possessed by a violent, tortured spirit in Takashi Miike’s upcoming untitled slasher-horror film, according to a report on Deadline.
She will be joined by fellow actors Milly Alcock (Supergirl), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), actress-model-singer Kiko Mizuhara (Attack on Titan) and Show Kasamatsu (Tokyo Vice).
Per the report, the film will follow three best friends who meet up in Kyoto to rekindle their lifelong friendships. What is intended to be a carefree girls trip devolves into a nightmare, unfolding when Katie (Charli xcx) becomes possessed by a violent, tortured spirit (Mizuhara) in the Japanese horror tradition.
Ross Evans and Yumiko Aoyagi wrote the script, which is inspired from an original idea of Charli and Miike.
