Indiecan Entertainment revealed the official trailer for She Was Here – The Heather O’Rourke Story. The preview, which can be seen below, tells the heartbreaking true story of the young star of the iconic Poltergeist films.
The official synopsis of the film reads: ““They’re here”, the now immortal line spoken by child actress Heather O’Rourke who is best known for playing the iconic role of Carol-Anne in the renowned Poltergeist Trilogy. Heather tragically passed away at the age of 12 leaving many shocked at the loss of a star actress in the making. Her untimely passing became something of a dark mystery as others tried to unpack rumors of cursed sets, controversy and Hollywood pitfalls. The reality is that many looked past the bright light in the darkness that was Heather; her life, her career, her kind nature, her heart and her future prospects that were cut short. She Was Here tells the uplifting and heartbreaking untold story of a life that could have been, but never was; this is the true story of Heather O’Rourke.”
Directed by Nick Bailey, She Was Here features Kathleen O’Rourke, Tammy O’Rourke, Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams, and Zach Galligan.
