Netflix Reveals Posters, Release Date for ‘Frankenstein’

Netflix today announced that Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein will have a limited theatrical release before heading to the streamer. In addition to that news, they’ve revealed two posters for the film, which can be seen below.

The official synopsis of the film reads “Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.”

Frankenstein will have its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 30, 2025, followed by a limited theatrical release on October 17, 2025, and a global release on Netflix on November 7, 2025.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the film stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, and Christian Convery.
