Muschietti Reveals Multiple Season Plans for ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’

by Rob Caprilozzi

Some exciting news was just revealed for the upcoming IT: Welcome to Derry series.

In an interview with Radio TU, which can be seen below, Andy Muschietti shared intriguing details about the timeline for the IT: Welcome to Derry season. The first season will take place in 1962, but he also hinted at plans for HBOs desire to have subsequent seasons. If that happens, a second season would be set in 1935 and the third in 1908.

Note that each of the above dates are 27 years apart, just enough time for Pennywise to return.

IT: Welcome to Derry stars Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, Stephen Rider, and Bill Skarsgard. The series is being developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs.

While no official release date is set, it’s confirmed that the series will air on HBO in 2025. Keep it lock
