Vanity Fair is giving us a glimpse of some of the upcoming movies of 2025 with some exclusive images.
First up is Frankenstein which is coming to Netflix. Guillermo del Toro is set to fulfill his dream of making his own adaptation of Mary Shelley’s beloved novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.
The cast includes Jacob Elordi (Saltburn, Priscilla), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina, Inside Llewyn Davis), and Mia Goth (X, Emma), Felix Kammerer (All Quiet on the Western Front), Lars Mikkelsen (The Witcher, Ahsoka), Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained), David Bradley (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, the Harry Potter films), and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth).
The first image, which can be seen below, shows us a wonderful laboratory scene.

Next up was a behind-the-scenes image for M3GAN 2.0 which shows actor Violet McGraw getting an up-close look at a prop bot. The film is scheduled to be released on June 27, 2025.

Next is the Jordan Peele-produced film Him which will be directed by Justin Tipping. Him centers on a promising young football player, invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1. The film is slated to arrive on September 19, 2025. The accompanying photo shows the new player (Tyriq Withers) with a legendary QB, played by Marlon Wayans.

The dinosaurs have returned with Gareth Edwards filming the seventh film in the franchise. The photo below shows a focused Scarlett Johansson as she wades through a field in Jurassic World Rebirth. The film will be shown in theaters on July 2, 2025.

Finally, The Gorge follows two highly-trained operatives (Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy) that are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within. They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it’s too late. The behind the scenes image below shows a WWII jeep being pulled up a wall.
