Say what you will about Gale Weathers, but she just doesn’t quit.
With the recent announcement of Neve Campbell returning to the Scream franchise everyone wondered if Courteney Cox would join her friend once again to go after the sinister Ghostface.
Well, if a recent report in Variety is to be believed, she is very close to signing on as she is in talks to reprise her role of Gale Weathers. While nothing is official yet, we suspect that we may hear something very soon that will officially attach Cox to the project.
Scream 6 saw Gale Weathers narrowly escape death as she received numerous puncture wounds from a knife wielded by Ghostface. Last we saw, the character was being loaded into an ambulance with a weak pulse. We later learn that she survived and was resting in the hospital.
