Godzilla is the king at the Japanese Academy Awards. The big guy stood above all at the Japanese Academy Awards as Godzilla Minus One raked in eight awards including Best Picture.

The film is also up for an award in the Best Visual Effects category at the 96th Academy Awards which takes place tonight, March 10, 2024 at 7 pm ET.
Directed by Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla Minus One stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetake Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Sae Nagatani, Mio Tanaka and Yuya Endo.
The film was a worldwide success and currently has a 98% TomatoMeter and Audience Score rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
