Richard Dreyfuss Returns ‘Into The Deep’ In New Thriller

Richard Dreyfuss–who famously played marine biologist Matt Hooper in Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1975 Jaws–will again get in over his head in the upcoming Into the Deep, according to a report on The Daily JawsCheck out the dramatic poster on this page.

The Oscar winner will join Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) and Stuart Townsend (Queen of the Damned) in the feature, which does not yet have a release window. The film is directed by Christian Sesma from a screenplay by Chad Law and Josh Ridgway.

In the film, a group of divers searching for sunken treasure “witness the murder of drug dealers by modern-day pirates–but a great white shark is determined to not let any of them escape its waters.”
